About us
Symptomato grew out of our personal experiences - as professionals closely involved in medicine and as patients who had to deal with different healthcare systems.

My journey into medicine began in childhood, when I would pull apart my neighbor's dolls and my own toy soldiers, only to “treat” them with tape and modeling clay. Back then, I didn’t realize patients weren’t supposed to be self-made!
From 2011 to 2022, I led the radiological surgery department at Hospital No. 52 in Moscow. Over the years, we grew from a small city hospital unit into one of the country’s top departments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I organized a volunteer program with 700 participants, which continues to operate today.
Then life changed—we moved. I ended up in Riga, facing the full reality of being an outsider in a new healthcare system. I didn’t know how to book an appointment, what the costs were, or even what rights I had as a patient.
I still help friends and acquaintances with medical questions. But I can’t know all the answers, which is why Symptomato exists. We’ve built a team of more than 40 specialists across a range of fields who are ready to tackle even the most complex or unusual cases.
What makes Symptomato unique is our team. On one hand, they’re highly qualified doctors (at least in one country). On the other, they’re committed to helping patients navigate the often-confusing paths of diagnosis and treatment.

I earned a medical degree, but from the beginning, I was drawn to healthcare management. Over the years, I’ve worked as a nurse, physician, teacher, and medical equipment procurement specialist, and later immersed myself in healthcare innovation and software development as the Innovation Director for INVITRO Labs.
Throughout my career, I noticed a recurring issue: the healthcare system often sidelines patients, treating them as passive participants. Organizational barriers between doctors and patients lead to misunderstandings.
Doctors, too, face challenges—they sometimes need a second opinion but find it hard to get one. There’s no universal system to guide the treatment of complex cases.
This inspired us to create Symptomato, a service designed to make healthcare more accessible and understandable. We’re not here to replace doctors or take over their roles. Instead, we aim to empower patients with the information and support they need to make informed, confident decisions about their health.
At Symptomato, we make it a priority to speak in plain, patient-friendly terms and to never judge anyone for their questions.
Our experts about Symptomato

Symptomato acts as a guide, helping patients, their families, and even fellow doctors figure out how to move forward—especially in complicated or unfamiliar situations.
The experts here don’t just point people to a pharmacy or prescribe a specific medication. Instead, they help patients thoughtfully approach their issues and figure out the right path and the right specialists to consult.

First, I love giving advice—it’s a family trait! Second, I enjoy solving puzzles, piecing together situations based on limited information. It’s like figuring out what the "author" truly meant. Third, I love working on innovative and unique projects that no one else has done before. And finally, the team here is fantastic—discussions are always interesting, and it’s inspiring to see what others are working on.
